  1. That’s a good question. Depending on where one lives, some languages are more useful than others. It also depends on how you want to learn a language. For example, I was attracted to Spanish for a thousand reasons and chose it over German, knowing german was going to be a lot more useful to me, because of tourism in the area I live in.
