Whatcha bacon?

Bacon strikes again. My father-in-law has recently been (quite successfully) baking bacon, rather than cooking it on the stove. It’s crispier and somehow more succulent and tasty. Mmmm… bacon. We do it that way now, and it looks like this:

Baked Bacon

Cook it on just under 300 degrees for anywhere between 45-60 minutes. Yes, it takes about an hour to get it right. But if you time it to be ready with the rest of your breakfast, it’s worth the wait.

    I think we could have turned the oven up a little to 375 and only had to leave it in for about 20 minutes… But low and slow works, too.

    I think it’s funny how your blog is evolving into a food blog too (like 90% of blogs).

    To follow up the revolutionary idea of baked bacon, your next post needs to be about those incredible Cheese Eggs your mom is famous for. The recipe where she melts cheese on scrambled eggs..

      I hope you’re not making fun of the simplicity of my cooking posts–it’s what I know. Besides, aren’t moms off-limits?
