Today, February 8, is International Septuagint Day. Happy LXX Day! So read yerself some Septuagint today, in Greek or English.

I may be wrong, but I’m thinking this specially designated day of celebration applies to a very small group of individuals–globally, and apparently you are one of them! 🙂
Au contraire, mon frère! EVERYONE should be celebrating today. 😉
You may be interested in a theology conference during the last weekend of Feb hosted by Houston Baptist University recognizing the quincentennial of Erasmus’s first publication of his Novum Instrumentum Omne on 3/1/1516. One of the presentations on Friday is “The Septuagint’s Function in the Formation of Biblical Canons” by Laura Manzo. (Just trying to connect you LXX nerds…) 🙂
That sounds great–thanks! I’ll have to see if they’re planning on making a recording or outline available.
